AI Policies

To add a new AI policy, select 1 – “Policies” from the menu bar, then select 2 – “Add AI Policy” button.

Select an AI policy that you would like to add.

Note – New AI policies will be added on a regular basis, be sure to check for new AI Policies.

Next you will see the following dialog:

Update Management:

You can select “AI Managed” to receive updates to the policy and have it managed by AI or you can select to “Create a Copy” if you want to convert the AI policy into a legacy policy that you manage yourself. We recommend keeping the default of “AI Managed”

AI Periodic Management:

This is where you can set how you want updates to be applied to your AI Policy. You can select weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly for how you want the AI policy to automatically be updated. You may also select “Manual Sync” if you want to control when the policy receives updates. Note – If you select “Manual Sync” you will be reminded to sync the policy if updates are found when viewing the Policies.

Operational Management:

These options are set automatically and will show you what is required for you to apply the policy.

“Require Search Analysis for Adding AI Policy” – this requires you to perform an automated search to verify that the policy rules meet the requirement of not exceeding 5% of your weekly messages.

“Require Approval to Receive AI Updates” – this option will require an administrator to accept policy updates before they can be applied (note – you can set the AI periodic management to “Manual Sync” if you always want to approve updates).

“Require Search Analysis to Accept AI Updates” – this requires you to perform an automated search to verify that the policy rules meet the requirement of not exceeding 5% of your weekly messages.

“AI Managed Deletion” – If this is selected the AI Policy can be deleted by the MessageWatcher team if the policy is depreciated or replaced by another policy.

“Skip Search Analysis for Copy” – If set this option allows you to make a copy of the AI policy so that you can modify/manage it on your own and it will not require a search to verify that the policy matches 5% or less of your weekly messages.

After reviewing the options click “Next” to continue.

Next, if the policy has the “Require Search Analysis for Adding AI Policy” enabled you will be prompted to perform a search to verify that the new AI rules meet the requirement of not flagging more than 5% of your weekly messages. Note – any rules shown in red can be deleted by selecting the “trash” icon.

Click the “Search” button and review the results. Note – you can delete rules that you do not want by selecting the “trash’ icon. When you are ready to add the AI policy click the “Save” button to finish adding your new AI Policy.

Your new AI Policy is ready, please be sure to assign the new policy to selected group(s) to start flagging content that violates the new policy.
